Mary Kay Show & Sell App
Mary Kay was looking for a way to take their tried-and-true paper presentation materials to the next level. The result was an engaging iPad app with a wide range of functionalities, allowing Beauty Consultants the ability to mirror their display on an external monitor, add items to a Wish List for future invoicing, and reference speaker notes during a presentation.
The app charted at #1 in the Lifestyle category for several weeks and received a 4.5 star average rating on the Apple App Store. It was also named a 2012 MarCom Awards Platinum Winner for Design in a Web/Mobile App.
I worked on the project as an art director and graphic designer, collaborating closely with UX designers, UI designers and developers to create the project. It was created while at Somnio.

IBM ISV & Developer Relation (IDR) Imagery
IBM ISV & Developer Relations, a part of IBM Partnerworld, houses a number of initiatives under its umbrella. The team was seeking to create a family of graphics for use on its different landing pages on IBM.com and across other collateral as well.
I worked as the art director and graphic designer on the project with additional design support, ultimately creating 5 key graphics to support each of its five initiatives. The work was created while at Somnio.

Somnio Website Redesign
Somnio wanted to rebrand its website and expand the site to iPhone and iPad in order to champion its own cross-platform offerings.
I worked as the designer and art director on the second phase of the project, aligning the site to pre-existing brand guidelines and creating consistency across the site sections and platforms. Also on the project was a team of creative directors, graphic designers, and developers. The work was created while at Somnio.

HP Gen8 Qualified Options Attach Kit
HP was looking to rebrand a pre-existing web and mobile tool, while also reexamining a few of the original functionality choices.
The tool itself allows users to explore specific features of HP Gen 8 servers and racks.

Somnio SXSW Panel Presentation
Somnio lead a core conversation at SXSW in the spring of 2012. The discussion topic was working as a creative in the business-to-business marketing environment
I worked with a content strategist to create the presentation that accompanied the talk, using vintage photography from the LIFE archives to create a visual consistency and add an element of humor to the conversation.

IBM System Z Infographic Suite
IBM's System Z team was looking to create a series of interactive infographics that allowed users to read a summary of a their solutions for Oracle, while also leading viewers to more in-depth information by linking to whitepapers and studies.
The project required the creation of a system for displaying content that gave a sense of consistency and allowed for efficiency when designing the individual graphics.
I worked as the art director and a graphic designer on the project alongside a team of designers, a content strategist and programmer. The work was created while at Somnio.

IBM Embracing Mobility Infographic
IBM was looking to visualize a few proof points of an upcoming study on IT leaders in mobile to create excitement and maximize downloads. The result was a piece that can be leveraged in a number of ways, including online, as a print piece and in presentations.

3D Demo Platform
Somnio created a product demo platform in Unity that allows users to explore low-poly 3D renderings of products in real-time. I worked as the art director and designer on the project to create the UI of the tool. The platform is designed and built to operate on both PC and tablet devices.
No customer-facing version of the tool has been released, thus the placeholder mock-ups featured here.

Cisco By the Numbers
Cisco wanted to create a video that used numbers to depict what's happening in the mobility market for service providers, and Cisco's role in enabling it all.
I worked on this video as an art director in a truly collaborative effort between a motion graphics art director, a content strategist, graphic designer and myself. The work was created while at Somnio.
